Daniel B.
Graves is Managing Director of CobbCorp, LLC. He has
been an investment banker to media and communications companies
for 15 years, involved in over $40 billion of transactions for
more than 40 different clients. Mr. Graves has represented the
interests of clients across the spectrum of family-run companies
to large-cap multi-national organizations. He was the
Founder and Managing Member of Spinnaker Capital Advisors, LLC
(“SCA”).
Before founding SCA,
Mr. Graves was a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank's Media
Investment Banking Group from 1999 to 2004. During his tenure,
Mr. Graves specialized in the cable, TV, radio and newspapers
industries. During his five years, he completed transactions for
his clients in each major investment banking category, including
equity and debt offerings and buy-side / sell-side M&A.
Prior to Deutsche
Bank, Mr. Graves was brought in by Merrill Lynch & Co.’s Media
Group in 1994 to start a renewed effort in the broadcasting
industry. As a Vice President and Director, Mr. Graves built
Merrill Lynch's broadcasting industry practice into a top-tier
competitor, finishing first in equity, debt, and M&A transaction
market share during his five years at the company.
Mr. Graves started
his media investment banking career as a summer associate at
Salomon Brothers Inc in 1989. During his tenure as an Associate
and Vice President at Salomon, he worked on a variety of
assignments for cellular, cable, TV, radio and newspaper
companies until he left the firm in 1994.
Mr. Graves is a
1984 graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. degree
in both Finance and Management Science and Statistics. After
three years with Arthur Andersen & Co., he completed his
graduate studies at the University of Chicago in 1990 with an
MBA degree majoring in Finance with a minor in Accounting. |
