Jack
Higgins is Managing Director of CobbCorp, LLC and is
based in New York. Higgins specializes in television station
mergers and acquisitions. He is well respected within the
television industry with a broad range of contacts.
Higgins entered the broadcast M&A business as founder and CEO of
Higgins Associates, where he represented various station groups
and individual station owners in the sale and acquisition of
television properties. His firm also assisted broadcasters in
attracting top talent general manager and sales management
candidates to their companies.
Higgins began his 25-year career in broadcasting with the
national advertising representative firm Katz Media Group. He
was with Katz in Chicago and New York for 22 years in various
senior management positions, serving for the past 12 years as
president of Katz Continental Television and Seltel. During his
time at Katz, Higgins worked closely with more than 500
television stations and a majority of the nation’s broadcast
groups and senior executives.
Upon leaving Katz in 2000, Jack became a founder and chief
executive officer of AdConnections, a developer of web based
sales and marketing tools for television stations. Higgins
executed the company’s launch and ultimately found a buyer for
the company, completing the original business plan.
Higgins is active in industry and charitable organizations,
having served as a director of the Television Bureau of
Advertising, a director of the Station Representatives
Association, a director and vice chairman of the International
Radio and Television Society and an active member of the
Broadcasters’ Foundation.
